Topplers Is Back.

Topplers helps people with a good idea take the first step, and we show what happens when one good act leads to another. We believe a small, deliberate action can set off a string of others, and that the results can be tracked and shared so everyone can see them.

Topplers was founded in 2008 and achieved early success. Our efforts were called “Topples” and for a few years we had them running at universities, high schools, hospitals, and clubs. Then organizational issues caught up with us, and by 2016 Topplers went into hibernation. Since that time there have been unofficial Topples happening in the US and other countries, supported quietly by people who wanted to see the organization continue on in some form, waiting for the right time to scale things back up.

Many people feel the problems around us are too big to touch, and that doing good is either pointless or somebody else’s job. We don’t agree.

Plenty of good ideas never take flight. Some never get started. Others stall after the first bit of work. Often the person doubts they have the skills, the money, or the right to try. A little backing at the right moment can change that. And once people see one act lead to another, it gets easier for them to try their own.

By the end of 2029, we want to have given 100 Domino Awards, backed by a global Topplers Community of more than 10,000 people, with evidence gathered and shared about how it all plays out.

Here’s how we’ll get there:

• The Domino Award. Seed funding, coaching, and visibility for people with compelling ideas for good. We’ll give the awards out in waves, each one larger than the last as we scale up. Our first announcement is planned for late 2026, and applications open soon.
• The Topplers Community. People who want to help the ideas we back, with a skill, an introduction, an hour, or a small gift.
• Stories and research. A podcast and a Substack that explore Domino Theory, the principles behind why one action leads to another.
• The Impact Platform. One place for Community Members to stay connected and track what their actions lead to. That information also feeds our research.
• The Topplers Store. Everyday reminders of the “small actions, big impact” way of life. Wearing or using them keeps the idea in front of you and gets the conversation started with others, and every purchase helps support Topplers.

The website is live, a new board is in place, and we’re building the Community. We’ll announce the opening of Domino Award applications in November 2026. Our overall plans are ambitious, but we’re starting small — one thing leading to the next — which is the whole point of trusting in Domino Theory.

Here are five small things you can do today, any of which could set something bigger in motion:
