Topplers FAQ

Looking for more information on how Topplers works? You found the right place!

If you have received a Domino

Your Domino represents an action that’s part of a Branch. It is your responsibility to take action, thus tipping your Domino to keep the topple going. Others are counting on you.

First things first. Claim your Domino by clicking here (link to claim it). This allows you to connect with others who have also chosen to have an impact.

Take Action

Once you’ve claimed your Domino or purchased a new Domino, it’s time for you to take action. Others are waiting to see how you choose to contribute, and where the Domino will end up next. Here are some ideas:

  • Check out what others are doing in your Branch and where they need help.
  • Visit the Topplers Communityto participate in discussions about ways people are helping.
  • Pass your Domino to a friend, an acquaintance, or even a stranger to keep the Topple going.

Have you already done one of these and want to do more? Click here to add another Domino to the Branch! This expands the Topple, maximizes all of our efforts and most importantly, keeps the movement alive.

Thank you for making an impact and for perpetuating a movement dedicated to helping others and bettering the world.

Why was this site created?

Topplers is about enabling people (You!) to set big things in motion, one person at a time. Most people have big ideas about changing the world at some point in their lives but, equally, most fail because they didn’t know how or where to start. Topplers is about helping people take that first step.

Topplers is also about the application of domino theory to that first step and enabling the amplification of your efforts. Did you know that one small domino can topple a sixth domino in the chain that is two million times its own size? It’s true, we even built the dominos to test and prove the theory! The Topplers site will help you track the impact of your actions.

What’s the first thing I do if I received a domino?

Go to the Topplers home page and, if you haven’t already done so, Join. This is a really simple 30 second process. Once you have joined you will be able to claim your domino by entering its number in the box on the same page.

Who’s behind Topplers?

Topplers is a non-profit organization with 501(c) 3 status. We are supported by private donations, and governed by a volunteer board of directors. We are not affiliated with any religious, cultural, political, or government organizations.

What’s different about the Topplers Community from the main site?

The main Topplers site provides: an overview of Topplers; our mission; the branches we’re currently working on; the ability for you to claim and track the impact of your dominos. The Community allows you to engage in a much more qualitative way with each of the branches. You can engage in conversation with the branch owners and other folks and get much more information about what’s happening, and what you can do to help, on a day to day basis.

Can I create my own Branch of the Topple?

Not at this time. Topplers is still at the early stages of developing the framework that enables domino theory to be applied to charitable actions. That means it’s important for us to focus on a few branches and to learn from the process of making those successful rather than become too diffuse by adding further branches.

As we hone the process and learn from making the existing branches successful then we will enable new branches to be created. Stay tuned for more information on this.

I have an old domino with a '-' in the number, for example 1-12. How do I register these old dominos?

We are in the process of being able to support the old numbering system. If you have an old number please email us and let us know. Then, when we have the system in place to track that domino we will notify you.

The site is a bit confusing can someone explain it to me in detail?

During our launch phase, we’re happy to provide phone support to ensure we don’t hold you up from experience all that Topplers has to offer. In the future, we will be significantly improving our help & support for the site based on your feedback, but for now, just give us a ring at 303-245-7310, leave a message, and someone will get right back to you. Or, if you prefer email support, email us at info@topplers.org.
