Today I did a small random act of kindness. While ordering a drink at the Starbucks drive thru I asked them to add on a $5 gift card. When I got to the window they tried to hand me the card, but I asked that they instead give it to the car behind me. I know it's not uncommon for people to buy coffee for folks, and some people might think this random act of kindness isn't so "special." But, I did it because I truly believe small acts like this can lead to unexpected big things. Also, I felt that writing this impact post for Dakota's branch would inspire others to not worry about the own acts needing to be "special." When the thought comes to you, just do it! It's easier than you think, feels great when you do it, supports Dakota's wish, and surly brightens someone's day.
