The Travels of Domino #2435
A year and a half ago I heard about a group setting up a nonprofit based around the idea of "paying it forward" (as I understood it). I was intrigued, but it wasn't until a week ago that I was introduced to a few of the board members. When I met with them and heard about their exciting plans for getting these chains of action going, I received my first domino. I could hardly sleep that night for all the ideas overflowing in my head about how I might help this group and what I would do with my domino. I have about 50 domino ideas, but only just one domino! I'll report back more when I decide how I want to pass my domino along.
In the last month I've been trying to do more nice things for people. I randomly gave a gift card to someone at the grocery store, helped a stranger with a small construction product, picked up a hitch-hiker, bought a stranger a cup of coffee, made a small donation to a charity... I also have been psyched to see others doing random good things... like my daughter taking a lose dog home to a neighbor... I hope the next person that gets this domino will share examples of good deeds they've done or seen in this journal... and pass along the domino and good deeds to others...
